A few weeks ago while talking to my mentor Priscilla, I jokingly mentioned i wanted to shoot some portfolio in California. Not thinking i would even have the chance to, Pri was immediately interested in helping me out. She helped me develop a story and look, Pulled all her strings to help acquire a model and a MUA/Hair girl. The shoot was one of the best experiences of my photo life! Pri assisted me during the shoot and helped direct when i couldn't find the right words (even got surfers to get in on some shots!). I learned so much and feel so confident in what I'm doing now. The model, Faith Bentley, was wonderful! We all had great female chemistry together and i got everything i wanted out of the shoot. I feel so lucky to have gotten this opportunity, and to know that my mentor sees something in me that is worth working with. All i can say is THANK YOU, Seriously!
I am not posting many of the images as i want my portfolio to be a bit of a surprise towards the end of the summer. But here is a few images to tide you over.

Kindle Touch

For my first self promo this semester i decided to shoot my new Kindle Touch.
Originally i wanted to shoot table-top in the studio, but was reminded that the whole idea of a kindle is being portable. Being able to carry ALL of your books in one light, thin electronic tablet. I decided i wanted to take a more lifestyles approach and shoot a very fall looking scene. I also wanted to show off the "ink screen" which makes the screen you read very matte, paper like and easy on your eyes.
