Phase one/Capture on How To.

This week in multimedia, we were asked to partner up and create an instructional video about something we have learned during our time at school. My partner walker anderson and i decided to do a tutorial on shooting a phase one camera with capture one.

Evolution of Smooth

Last week, we were paired up with a graphic design student and told to create a visual campaign together. My partner and i decided we wanted to create a few ads and other visuals for the brand EOS. EOS is an all natural/ usda organic lip and skin moisturizer company. We really wanted to focus on their "lip balm spheres". They are very fun and cute, but are also natura. Above are a few instagrams from the first shoot we did for a large banner.

Kindle Touch

For my first self promo this semester i decided to shoot my new Kindle Touch.
Originally i wanted to shoot table-top in the studio, but was reminded that the whole idea of a kindle is being portable. Being able to carry ALL of your books in one light, thin electronic tablet. I decided i wanted to take a more lifestyles approach and shoot a very fall looking scene. I also wanted to show off the "ink screen" which makes the screen you read very matte, paper like and easy on your eyes.

NYC in review.

I completed my first internship with Pascal Demeester in New York City this December.
I had a wonderful time! I learned composition, assisted in a high end shoot, shot large format on location around NYC. Began learning the zone system and spot metering. Scanned lots of film, helped create a 200 page editorial book and gained a wonderful friend.

I also spent lots of time exploring the city with fellow photographer friends Holly Mann and Cali Lowdermilk. In this post i have included 2 videos i made documenting our days together.
